The guys at RACE based at Culham Science Centre, have been collecting data for their Vote3Deep project. This technology transfers information from the lab to vehicles for high performance, real time object detection. In practical terms this means we need to collect data that Vote3Deep can, via machine learning, recognise pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles etc. One of the ways we are doing this is by setting up scanners in our coffee lounge and telling the algorithms that our coffee lovers are pedestrians.
