OXIS Energy to Train Brazilian Team at CSC

Culham Science Centre (CSC) is delighted to announce our tenant OXIS Energy has secured a £3.7 million investment from Brazilian Private Equity fund Aerotec, which marks the fund’s first international investment.

This latest investment paves the way for OXIS Energy to open a subsidiary in Brazil and the company has confirmed its Brazilian team will be trained here at CSC, prior to creating a Research and Development Centre in Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais.
OXIS Energy will also focus on commercial expansion throughout Latin America and will address the aviation, defence and heavy electric vehicle markets worldwide.
A tenant at CSC since 2005, OXIS Energy is a world leader in the design, development and now the move towards commercial production of Lithium Sulfur cells batteries, which are lighter than their Lithium Ion equivalents when storing the same amount of energy.
